Barclays Cease Fire Has Been Declared

Following on from my Twitter remark - I am thrilled that the Barclays/Barclaycard nightmare has finally been resolved. I've lost a lot of sleep over this - and it has made me feel quite ill - so I'm chuffed that it's over!! Hurrah!!

Not only did I get all bank charges refunded, a temporary extension on my overdraft - I also received £200 compensation.

Therefore, I highly recommend anyone who has issues with their bank to fight it and not give up - if you say the right things, remain polite and apply sufficient pressure, they will listen to you.

KUDOS to Mr Antony Jenkins who has been instrumental in resolving my complaint!!

Now I can return to doing what I do best - write!

Declaring War On Barclays

I am mad. I am so angry, it's hard to put into words just how thoroughly p*ssed off I am.

Despite Barclays CEO John Varley emailing me the following:

If you can take the trouble to write to antony Jenkins and me, then the least we can do is take the trouble to reply.

I'm very sorry indeed that we have created this trouble for you, and we will, as antony has said, get it fixed.

I'm here if you need me, and I will keep tabs on matters as they progress.

They have done nothing to help my situation. Therefore, I have given them one last chance to sort this out before they are reported to the financial ombudsman.

I have set up another website in protest against all banks who are effectively sh*tting on the little people i.e. the public who pay for their wages and bonuses.

If Carlsberg Wrote Complaint Letters

I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself with this...

I had a complaint with Barclays and Barclaycard, which originally started out as an administration error.. unfortunately it was not resolved so I resorted to emailing the CEO of both companies to get it sorted.

Within 6 hours of sending the mail - I received a response from both Antony Jenkins & John Varley.
